More than just advocacy, education and research on youth sports injury, Donnovan’s Dream Foundation is also working to design and implement effective programs to provide assistance; injury treatment and management to injured youth athletes. We are developing and participating in clinical research programs geared towards understanding the mechanism and physiology of sports related head, neck and spine injuries. In addition, we are currently working on a national outreach program of education and awareness to train coaches, athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and management of youth sports related head, neck and spine injuries.  Despite all the publicity in the media and subsequent congressional hearings there is little to no funding for sports related head, neck and spine education and research, especially on the Youth Sports level.  That’s why we need your help!!!

Donnovan’s Dream Foundation was founded by Crystal Dixon, the mother of nationally recognized youth athlete Donnovan Hill who was featured on ESPN’s Outside the Lines television series. The foundation was founded in an effort to improve the quality of life for athletes suffering from head, neck and spinal injuries from youth sports allowing them to continue to pursue their dreams on and off the field.
